A MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD
This Annual report documents our activities that have occurred during the 2020 Fiscal Year (FY) covering October 01, 2019 to September 30, 2020. While there were significant challenges adapting to the COVID-19 pandemic, the District had numerous accomplishments and achievements.
The SGSWCD stays committed to serving as the voice of their district cooperators; protecting Guam’s soil and water resources through conservation and best management practices; and encouraging better stewardship through education and outreach. The SGSWCD Board successfully accomplished its FY2020 goals and objectives to include reexamining its long-range strategic plan; identifying and acquiring innovative funding opportunities; increasing conservation plans on Guam; and continuing to raise the value of the Guam SWCDs both locally, regionally, and nationally.
The Board looks forward to completing its Long Range plan which would essentially serve as the Guam SWCD’s guiding document of strategic efforts for the next five years.
